It was a decent book, but by the time you begin playing and realize you could use some pointers on how to be better, you probably already have the knowledge this book contains. But it was a nice review!I was hoping for more cheats and other things like this. Maybe the examples could have been better by putting two or three scenarios and where one is a bad one along with explanations afterward so that people reading can see they made the right or wrong choice and have an explanation as to why. Also a better example in the first place would be nice. In the example, it doesn't really explain what certain cards are, for instance (from what I recall) it didn't explain what an SI 7 Agent's attack or battlecry is, so I'm not sure what damage will be caused and when would be best to use it. Since the target audience of this book is extremely new people to the game, the author really should have been more diligent to explain this in the example. But even putting that aside and dealing with the scenario as a whole, I know they are both good scenarios because in the end the enemy minion(s) are killed and mine are still alive in both scenarios. Anyone, even someone who has never played, could tell you that they are both good moves even without knowing what anything else in the scenario meant. So the example is too easy in the respect that they pretty much tell you that your minions still have health and the enemy's minions don't. I would have preferred a picture of the scenario with all the alternative ways to attack listed below the picture. This way you can do your own math based on the picture and then pick which ways you would attack based on the most similar description and figure out what is the right and wrong moves to make and why.
Also I would have appreciated this book more if it went into detail on mana amounts and what is a good card relative to the amount of mana you are using by playing the card. Also thorough deck design and discussion of your mana curve in your deck would have been nice as well. I've only been playing for maybe 2 weeks at this point, so to put it into perspective, if you want this book to be of value to you, buy it while your game is downloading or if you decide you want to start playing this game and want to learn how to download it onto a device. Otherwise, just learn as you go, or find someone experienced in the game to explain it to you and give you tips while watching you play.
